Early Check-In ("Early," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Elsewhere Index LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Texas. Early Check-In is an iOS app and companion web service that lets short-term-rental owners and property managers track unit-turnover status.

Early Check-In is a lightweight communication tool. We collect what we need to run the service — your email address, the property data you enter, and a push token so your phone receives notifications. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We collect no payment card numbers (Stripe handles those). Cleaners who scan the QR sticker use a public web page with no account and no login — we collect essentially nothing that identifies them.
If you have questions, email us (address above) and we will respond.
We collect information in two ways: what you provide directly and what the service generates automatically.
When you create an account or accept an invitation to manage properties, we collect:
| Data | How it is collected | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and authentication identity | You provide your email; we send a magic link via Supabase Auth | Supabase Auth (auth.users) |
| Organization name | You enter it during setup | Supabase (organizations) |
| Property / listing names, push-notification aliases, and timezones | You enter them | Supabase (listings) |
Cleaner first name or label (current_cleaner_name) |
You type a name to label the listing — this is your own label, not data we collect from the cleaner | Supabase (listings, presses) |
| Invited manager contact (email or phone number) | You enter it when inviting a co-manager | Supabase (invitations) |
| Device push tokens | The app registers your device with Firebase Cloud Messaging on first launch and on token rotation | Supabase (device_tokens) |
| Billing identifiers | When you subscribe, Stripe creates a customer record tied to your email and subscription; we store the Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, subscription status, and renewal period | Supabase (subscriptions) + Stripe |
We do not store payment card numbers, card expiration dates, or CVV codes. Payment card data is processed and held exclusively by Stripe. We never see it.
When a cleaner scans the QR sticker on the wall, they visit a public web page and tap a button. This records:
qr)No cleaner account is created. No cleaner identity or contact information is collected from the scan itself. The only cleaner-identifying information in the system is the name or label the owner typed — it is the owner's own label, not something we collected from the cleaner.
As with any HTTPS request, our infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase) receives a transient IP address and user-agent string as part of the standard web request. These appear in server and CDN access logs and are retained briefly for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
We do not run analytics SDKs or behavioral tracking. Standard infrastructure logs (errors, latency, server-side request logs) are retained by our sub-processors for operational and security purposes per their own policies.
Cleaners interact with Early through a public, no-login web page. They do not create accounts, install an app, or provide contact information to Early. This is intentional. The host or manager owns the relationship with their cleaner entirely. Early is a communication tool, not a staffing or marketplace platform. As a result, the privacy exposure for cleaners is minimal and limited to the transient technical data described in Section 3.2.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your data to serve advertising. We do not sell, rent, or broker your data to third parties.
We share data with the following sub-processors to operate the service. We do not share data with other third parties for their own commercial purposes.
| Sub-processor | Purpose | Data shared | Privacy information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, and serverless functions (edge functions) | All structured data listed in Section 3.1 | supabase.com/privacy |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) | Delivering push notifications to owner and manager devices | Device push tokens and notification payloads (property name or alias, status) | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Stripe | Subscription billing and payment processing | Owner email address, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers; Stripe directly collects payment card data — we do not see or store card numbers | stripe.com/privacy |
| Apple | App Store distribution, TestFlight, and Apple Push Notification service | App metadata; APNs device tokens are passed to Firebase, which routes push delivery through APNs | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| Vercel | Hosting the QR scan web page and future web routes (/privacy, /terms, /billing) |
Request logs (IP address, user-agent) for visitors to the web page | vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy |
If you grant notification permission, the app registers your device and sends the push token to our server. We use this token to send you status-change notifications for your properties. You can withdraw notification permission at any time through iOS Settings. Withdrawing permission causes the OS to stop delivering notifications; the stored token will fail to deliver and will be removed or rotated on the next app launch or registration cycle.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account, organization, and listing data | Retained while your account is active. Deleted or anonymized within 30 days following account deletion (see Section 9). |
| Press and event history (scan records) | Retained while your account is active, up to 24 months, then deleted. |
| Device push tokens | Removed on sign-out, token rotation, or account deletion. |
| Invitations | Expire within 72 hours of creation per system design; data removed on expiry or acceptance. |
| Billing records (Stripe customer and subscription identifiers) | Retained as required by applicable tax and accounting law, even after account closure. |
| Infrastructure and CDN access logs | Retained per sub-processor policy (typically days to weeks) for security and operational purposes. |
You can delete your account directly in the Early app (menu → Account → Delete account). Deletion takes effect immediately and your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at the address in Section 1.
On receiving a verified deletion request, we will:
We cannot delete data that we are required to retain by applicable law (for example, billing records required for tax compliance). We will inform you of any such retention at the time of your request.
Near-anonymous cleaner data: Because cleaners have no account and provide no identifying information to Early, there is no identifiable cleaner record to delete beyond the name label the owner typed, which is removed with the listing or organization.
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. Our database uses row-level security policies to restrict each user to their own organization's data. We engage sub-processors (Supabase, Stripe) who maintain their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable measures and will notify affected users of any breach as required by applicable law.
Early Check-In is operated from the United States. Data is stored on infrastructure hosted in the United States (Supabase and Vercel US regions). If you are accessing the service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
Early Check-In is a business tool for property owners and managers. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where a higher age threshold applies), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is material, we will provide notice through the app or by email to the address on file. Continued use of the service after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
